Tajiri

A new baby came to Neema last evening. He is from a remote Maasai Village. His mom has epilepsy and is mentally unstable, they said she runs through the forest and tries to give the baby to other villages. The baby is 6 weeks old and another new mom was trying to feed him but she is afraid of the mom. They generally do not wet nurse here because of HIV and other diseases. We are not sure what the future holds for this baby but they named him Tajiri which means Rich. We think he will be rich is love and rich in possibilities now!! He has two beautiful dimples and we will try to get a photo of those as soon as he settles in. He will need a sponsor guys, please someone step up for this little man.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
