Ryan

His mother left him in a bar. She is an alcoholic. When the villagers confronted her she yelled that the baby had ruined her life and she would throw him away. Two older women brought Ryan to Neema this afternoon. He may not have any value to his mother but he is priceless to us. We will treasure him until he finds his forever home.


Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
