Mamusi
A new baby boy arrived at Neema Village this week, June 17, 2026.
Little Mamusi’s young mother died while giving birth in a remote Maasai village. His family tried to get her to a clinic, but the nearest clinic was too far away.
Mamusi’s story reminds us why we are working so hard to expand our Save the Mothers program into areas like this one.
The name Mamusi means “I have waited a long time.” What a meaningful name for this precious little boy.
Thankfully, Mamusi has a loving Bibi (grandmother) who plans to take him home when he is older. Until then, we have made her a promise: we will love him, care for him, and make sure he knows he is a child of God.
