Lamnyaki

Lamnyake, a little newborn, made the long journey from Maasai land to Neema after his mother died during his birth. It is always so sad when these babies lose their mothers.  Babies without a mother out in Maasai village have a very slim chance of survival.  This village has not been reached with our Save The Mothers Safe Birthing Training yet.  The baby’s grandmother and aunt accompanied him to Neema.  We reassured them that Lamnyake would be well loved and cared for until he could return to his village and his family, hopefully before age two.   He will need sponsors while at Neema Village.   Sponsorships start at $30 a month but it cost $300 a month to keep a babyat Neema.   This pays for nannies, formula, food, medical etc, it does not pay for Buildings, MAP, STM  or water wells.  With 64 babies on campus, please pray for our very busy nannies!  Click on Give Now to sponsor Lamnyaki.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
