Kristina and Her Mom

To be judged by the color of your skin is one thing, to be at risk of kidnapping and mutilation because of the color or your skin is another thing.  Unfortunately witchcraft and evil is still alive and well in Africa.  Neema was called by the hospital to come pick up this very young mother and her newborn baby girl.  They were afraid for the baby to go back to their village.

From time to time Neema does step in to shelter women and babies who are at risk of being abused or worse.   This young mom and her baby, whom we have decided for her protection to not show her picture, live at Neema House.  We need your help to care for them.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
