Johana Daniel

Baby Johana came to Neema in May 2024. He was born out in a Maasai village about a month and half ago. His mom got an infection from the birth out in the village and sadly passed away. There is very little medical care out in the remote Maasai village.  Most babies are born with an untrained traditional birther.  The first thing we teach traditional birthers is bring the mom in to the hospital for childbirth! It is so sad that this little one will never know his mommy. We are not sure if the dad will be able to keep him later or if he will remarry. Hopefully this little one will be able to return home before he is age two. That is always our goal. Chances of a baby without a mother surviving out in the villages is very small. He will need a sponsor while he lives at Neema. Sponsorships pay for 24 hour nanny care, formula, diapers, medical expenses, food and utilities. It does not pay for buildings, water wells, volunteers or Maps mom’s businesses. Bless you for caring. Go to www.neemavillage.org to help.
