Gideon

Tiny baby Gideon came to Neema village on December 11, 2020. He weighs 800g and was born Nov 23, 2020 at 25 weeks. His mother has 8 children and is the second wife of a Maasai. She has had severe complications since the birth.  He is taking his wife out of the hospital to go back to the Maasai village for traditional medicine. We will be kangarooing this baby and feeding him with a dropper.  Please say a prayer for mom, baby Gideon, the nannies and us as we take turns feeding him and keeping him warm.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
