Gianna was born at the hospital on February 3, 2026. Her 22 year old mother needed help for her and the baby. She is a college student and hid the pregnancy. She finishes school in September and was scared if her parents knew they would not continue to pay for her schooling. She did have the baby early (34 weeks) and Gianna is very little. She weighed 1.8 kg when coming to Neema. She is in our NICU getting a lot of attention and cuddles. Gianna ia doing well. Hopefully her mother comes to visit on school breaks and takes her daughter home when she graduates.
