This sweet baby’s mother died during childbirth. He was born the 28th of March 2016. And weighed 3.7 kg. He had some rashes and an apparent birth injury to his arm. His father does not have a way to keep him at home so we will keep him at Neema until he is stable and the father has made arrangements for his child care at home. Many of these dads who lose their wives work away from home and are gone for months at a time.

Most homes out in the villages do not have electricity for refrigeration, medical care or clean water and the dads cannot afford the high cost of formula if they could sterilize the bottles. With 50 babies in the house we could certainly use your help in taking care of these babies.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
