On September 14, 2024, we took some narrow, rocky, back roads to get to where this baby had been abandoned in the bushes. Janiece and Barbara, new volunteers from Abilene who got in early this morning went with the nurse and me to pick up the baby. It’s a hard one to understand, since the baby has been well fed and seemed quite happy. Janiece named her Elise. Sshe is sleeping peacefully at Neema now.  Thank you for helping us save these babies!
