January 2024- Elias was born January 19th, he came to us just barely a day old. He came to Neema weighing 5.8 lbs. (2.65 kg). Sadly, his mother got a high temperature after he was born. They tried to get her to the hospital in time for help but she did pass away. They say she seemed to be anemic during her pregnancy also. His mother was twenty six years old and this was her fifth baby (four living). Elias’ father is living but has some disabilities due to polio. You could clearly see his grandmother loves him very much, she came with him to see him settled in and can come visit him anytime. He will go home when he is older and stronger.
