Dorcas and Ruben

Dorcas and Ruben along with their brother Petro are triplets born in a Maasai village.  The mother was sick and very malnourished and was not able to feed all three tiny babies.  Her husband brought her in to town for help.  The mom stayed at Neema until Petro was strong and now has returned with him to her other children in the village.  When she is able to care for the other two they will return to their village and their brother.  We will love these two babies until then.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
