Deborah

Deborah, her sisters, and her mother came to Neema House on July 7. All three babies were very small, but Deborah was the smallest at barely two lbs. She had to spend 17 days in an incubator at the hospital, and we thought we might lose her. By God’s grace she is now doing well now, and has celebrated her second birthday! She and her sisters have now gone home to their family village. We will continue to monitor her progress to make sure she remains healthy and growing.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
