October 2023- Tiny little Daniel came to Neema weighing only 3.3 lbs, born October 2, 2023. He was waiting with his 13 year old mama at Mount Meru hospital until he got a little bigger so they could come to Neema. Neema found out about Daniel and his mama through social welfare. Daniel’s mom is in school and lives at a center that takes care of orphan children. We will have Daniel with us at Neema until he is bigger and stronger. He does have jaundice but is doing well. His mom will stay with us and him for about a month and then will return to school. She can visit him anytime and they will be reunited when the time is right.
