Brighton Laizer

May, 2019.   Brighton came to Neema a few days ago. He was born December 2, 2018. He came weighing a healthy 14 lbs. (6.5 kg). He was living with his mother, uncle, and grandmother. His grandmother loves him but is caring for the mentally ill mother and uncle. The neighbor was helping this very poor family by making porridge for Brighton in addition to milk form his mother. The grandmother was begging people for money to buy food. One of Neema’s nannies lives close by and saw what was going on, social welfare was informed and Neema stepped into help. The family has a lot of mental illness, so please pray they can get the help they need so Brighton can be reunited when it is safe. Please consider being his sponsor while he is here.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
