Baraka and Busara twins

Baraka and Busara are twenty months old. They came to Neema with their mother. Their mother was not taking care of them and is in a bad line of work. Her family told her to take the boys to a center until they could decide who could care for them. A few days later the grandmother of the boys said she would care for them. However, when they first arrived our Neema doctors saw that they were malnourished and both had developmental delays. They are not walking and Busara is not even crawling at 20 months. So we asked if we could keep the boys until they are healthy and Busara could go to the rehab center to help him get stronger. The family agreed. We will do our best to help these precious boys and then they will be reunited with their family. The family can visit anytime. The boys are adjusting well and eating everything put before them.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27 (NIV)
