Baraka

Another new baby this week, his mother is an alcoholic and fell obn the baby,  so Social Welfare asked Neema Village to take over the care of this cuddly little 2 month old named Baraka. Baraka, which means blessing in Swahili, was being neglected and abused in his mother’s care. Tonight our newest little blessing is safe and loved at Neema Village.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
