Amyra

Baby Amyra came to Neema September 2024- This little tiny one was born May 19, 2024 at 24 weeks, weight 600 grams (1.3lbs). We are not sure why Amyra was born so early but the mother is only sixteen and clearly does not want the responsibility of her baby. Amyra was in the NICU for three months and the hospital notified Neema village and asked if we could care for the baby. They said the mother is not cooperating and the doctor knew if they sent the baby home she would not survive. Little Amyra is now only 1.8 kg (3.9 lbs). She does have heart issues and lung issues because she was so premature. She is on oxygen and medication but does seem to be doing well. She is in the isolation room with a nanny getting constant care. Please pray for this little one, her family and future. We are happy to love and care for her until her forever family comes.  Please help us provide for for this tiny one while she is here. Go to www.neemavillage.org, thank you

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
