Abas Nuru

Abbas was born on the 4th of August, 2017. He came weighing around 4lbs. His mother lost a lot of blood during his delivery. She was sent home but she was not well. She went back to the hospital about a week later for a blood transfusion. Her heart was failing and sadly passed away. Neema was called by social welfare. We picked Abbas up at the hospital and brought him to Neema. His father came with him and is happy he is here. He has been at Neema for a couple weeks now. He is doing very well, thanks to the great care of our nannies. We will need help caring for this little one, you can sponsor a baby at Neema starting at $30 per month. It costs us $300 per month to keep a baby at Neema. That pays salaries for nannies, formula, food, utilities, petrol and medical bills. It does not pay administrator salaries.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
