Siana

Siana

Siana is a young mother with a one year old baby. When she was in the hospital having her baby, the doctors quickly realized the baby was very sick and not thriving. The doctors feared that the baby may not make it and her husband ran away in fear, abandoning her at the hospital. After a while, the baby recovered and Siana and the baby were discharged. After leaving the hospital, she returned home to find that her husband had taken everything they owned with him when he ran. We were able to enroll her in MAP, help her with the costs of furnishing her home, and now she is operating a used clothes business.

Update: Siana has moved to Moshi and is doing her used clothing business there.  We wish her all the best.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
