Neema – Successfully Completed

Neema was pregnant with her second child when she learned that her husband had HIV.  He then abandoned the family.  Neema has a three year old son but became so depressed that she might have given her unborn child HIV that she began drinking the traditional alcohol brew.  When the baby was born Neema Village learned of this woman’s situation .  Linda Johnson and Anna went to check on her and then brought her and the new baby and son to stay at Neema Village.  Our Neema Nannies cared for her and she had many counseling sessions with the MAP director Anna.   After a few weeks Neema and the babies moved to Anna’s house for further counseling.  Neema quit drinking.  Neema Village has now set Neema up in vegetable stand.  Please be praying for this mother that she will be strong.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
