Mary #3

Mary #3

Mary had begun living and working on the streets at a young age. She became pregnant with twins and needed help getting off the streets and recovering from the only life she had known. She was enrolled in a recovery program called Pippi House. Mary came to our attention at Neema Village when we were enrolling another mom in Pippi House’s program. So we enrolled one mother who needed help with recovery into Pippi House that day and gained one of their graduates who was ready to begin her new life! Mary is now started in a vegetable stand business right outside of her apartment which enables her to make a living for her family while watching her young twin boys.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
