Mama Gody

Mama Gody is in her 40s and she is married.  Her husband had a stroke and is not able to do anything to help her family financially.  Mama Gody and her husband have a handicapped baby.  Her son Gody went to Neema’s day care, and he is now able to walk on his own.  He graduated and is not attending school.  Mama Gody is currently providing for her family.  She is selling beef soup to support her family.  Mama Gody has been surrounded with other mommas in the MAP program.  You can help support Mama Gody and other MAP (Mothers Against Poverty) moms by donating to the MAP program.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
