Fetty

Fetty was found begging on the street after her husband abandoned the family.  She was carrying a four day old baby and a two year old little girl.   She had been beaten and was badly bruised when a long time classmate saw her begging on the street.  The friend brought her to Neema where she has been living in the Jeffrey Scott May MAP houses for the past few months.  Fetty has been taking classes at Neema Village like sewing, English, business, women’s rights and attending the Bible based group therapy sessions held twice a week in the Preslar Mothering Center.  She has five children.  Neema will set her up in a small restaurant business selling rice and beans.  Fetty learned about Jesus before she left the center and was baptized into Christ.  Praise God.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
