Baby Gloria came to Neema at one year old; she had been starved. Her BiBi was very sick and was not able to take care of the baby who had been abandoned with her. Gloria lived at Neema Village for 5 years and when her Grandmother was able to take her home Gloria returned to live with her. Neema’s MAP program set Grandmother up in a small Duka (store) where she sells rice, beans, oil, soap, etc. We gave her $500 to stock her shelves and begin her business. She is doing very well and is taking good care of Gloria now.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
