Asia is 41 years old and has seven children ranging from 19 years old to one year old. Her and her husband were happily married for many years. Two years ago her husband lost his job and said he was leaving the home to go find work. He never returned, and now she is months behind on rent for the one room apartment where she is living with her 5 youngest children. When we spoke to her landlord about the situation and how we were planning to enroll her through MAP. He told us he was a Christian and wanted to do his part to help her as well. He told us he was going to forgive all of her debt for the months of rent she had missed! We were amazed at the generosity of this man. We are helping her to get set up in a couple of businesses that she can operate at the same time to make enough money for herself and so many children.
