Aristina’s Story

Aristina is 28 years old and has 3 children ages 8, 5, and a disabled 3 year old.  Aristina was married and bought land and built a small house but once the 3rd baby was born with a handicap, her husband took everything and left.  She has been collecting plastic bottles, walking very long distances everyday.  She will gather a large bag and then receive 3,000 tsh for it.  Not even enough to feed her family of 4.  Her house is very small and there is nothing in it, but she will stay there because she owns it.  Anna believes that if the disabled 3 year old has some therapy, she will be able to walk.  Anna’s plan is for her come to the daycare M-F and drop the baby off and then have her business somewhere close to the Daycare.  The MAP program will provide transport for her as well as setting her business up.  Anna believes she will do very well because she is a very hard worker.
