Furaha

Furaha means Joy.  This sweet baby girl came to Neema Village on March 25, 2020.  She was born on March 9, 2020. She weighed only 5.7 lbs (2.6 kg) when she came to Neema.  Her mother died a week after the birth in the hospital.  She was having trouble breathing and was put on oxygen but sadly passed away from complications   Furaha makes six babies this month whose moms have died from complications of childbirth and were brought to Neema Village.  We praise God we are able to care for them.  Maybe someday we can help alleviate the huge problem of moms dying in childbirth in Africa.  For now please help us care for little Furaha until a family member can be found to care for her.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
