Ernest

Baby Ernest came to Neema today. He was born February 19, 2021. He was abandoned by his mother in a graveyard. His cries were heard and he was found wrapped in hospital sheets. Ernest was taken to the police station. The lady that found him named him Ernest. The police were able to find the mother because of the sheets from the hospital. The mother was arrested shortly after her baby was found. Social welfare was called and he was placed with Neema. Social welfare will try to find out more about his mother. If she can be helped, we are willing to do what we can for her. Ernest is a healthy baby weighing 2.95 kg (6.5 lbs.). He is fed, clean, and resting happily. Please pray for his mother, we know God loves her. We do not know the whole story as to why she made this sad choice. We do know God is in control, and if things go well, Ernest and his mom will be reunited again at Neema Village, A Place of Forgiveness and Hope.  Please consider helping us keep this baby by sponsoring him.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
