Salome

Salome is a widow and has 5 children. She has twins that are 2 years old. Widows are displaced in African society since many of them do not inherit their husband’s property, cows, corn in the field or home. Salome was desperate when she came asking for help. She wants to do a beauty salon. With the help of the Neema Village MAP program she was able to start a beauty salon and make money to support her family.

How to Help

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
